What Happened to Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon?

Best friends Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon visiting from the Netherlands set out for a day hike along the picturesque Pianista Trail with their canine friend Blue in tow. It was a beautiful, sunny day and the girls were excited after having arrived the day prior to start volunteering at a local school. Their host family became worried however, when Blue arrived back that night...alone. The girls were nowhere to be found. What happened to Kris and Lisanne?
